The opportunity Due to continued growth we are looking for a Senior Lawyer with significant experience in litigating Clinical Negligence claims of the highest value, in particular catastrophic birth injuries and child brain injuries, such as those involving cerebral palsy. The successful candidate will lead on these cases in the firm's North West region with assistance from a team of clinical negligence lawyers, in our Manchester Office. You will be engaged in challenging and rewarding, high value casework as you represent the most severely injured victims of clinical negligence. This will provide a platform for you to showcase your exceptional client care and communication skills, sound judgement, confident decision-making and significant legal knowledge and expertise. The opportunity will suit a confident and compassionate Senior Lawyer with a committed background of representing claimants and victims of clinical negligence, matched by a strong track record of running complex cases including birth injuries and child brain injuries. Therefore you will have a natural ability to provide legal services with a personal touch, demonstrating your care, sensitivity, understanding and support to some of our most severely injured clients and their families. The role You will work towards achieving the required operational and financial performance, contributing to the success of the Branch as a whole whilst you actively drive, develop and supervise the team of lawyers working on these specialist cases. You will be an admitted solicitor or FILEX with significant post qualification experience and will be operating as a Court Grade A. You will possess strong supervisory skills with excellent client care and interpersonal skills, coupled with an enthusiasm to train and share experiences. Dealing with our union clients and colleagues, as well as at other marketing events requires you to have good understanding of the relevant statutory and common law legal practice and procedures together with the ability to be able to clearly communicate this knowledge to your audience.
