Banking & Finance Solicitor (NQ - 5 PQE) - North East (Agile)

Your new firm

This firm's Banking and Finance practice are recognised as being regional leaders on financial sector advise. With a broad client base including many notable banks, private equity houses and other financial institutions, there is an incredible opportunity for a solicitor to join the team as it looks to expand upon their offering within the sector. The firm is also a leader when it comes to modern flexible working arrangements and has in place an agile working policy that has proved popular with its approx. 150 strong workforce. Your new role

You will be working with a Partner who has an outstanding reputation within the legal market for their banking and finance work work. The type of work and projects that you will work on is broad and scope and will involve, but will not be limited to:

• Undertaking fee earning work and maintaining the firm's excellent standards for client service in order to ensure repeat business.
• Ensuring that financial targets are obtained through efficient working and accurate time recording / realistic fee estimates.
• Being a source of support for junior employees within the firm.
• Developing your contact network.
• Proactively keeping yourself informed with recent developments within the law and taking advantage of opportunities that will ensure growth of your technical expertise.

The role will give you good exposure to the work you want to do, giving you a platform to really grow your practice and evolve.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have previous legal experience within the banking and finance sector and will have up to 5 years' PQE. Applications will also be considered for those who are newly qualified or up to 4 years' PQE, but NQ candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional levels of previous experience working within the sector. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their work and raising the profile of their team and firm. As well as having previous experience within the banking and finance sector, the ideal candidate must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
