Senior Legal Counsel

A rare opportunity to join the in-house legal team of a Manchester based multinational corporate business.

The legal team play a key role in the business having a real seat at the table with regard to commercial decisions. The successful candidate will be expected to drive day to day business matters and engage proactively with a focus on commercial agreements.

Reporting into the Legal Director the successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE from either an in-house or private practice background with experience of reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.

A desire to undertake a variety of generalist legal work would also be ideal. The successful candidate will respond to legal queries, from all parts of the business, giving clear, consistent and practical advice on contract interpretation. Exposure to IP work would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will have outstanding customer facing skills coupled with an attention to detail. You will have a proven track record of being able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment laced with a wide variety of challenges.

The role offers an attractive base salary, plus car allowance and bonus as well as significant other benefits.

Flexible working is on offer with a 50/50 split between time in the office and home based working.
