Job Details
Our client is seeking to recruit an Associate to join their Insurance and Construction team in Bristol.
The Insurance and Construction team provides advice internationally to professional firms and insurers on a wide range of construction and professional risk issues which provides them with an expert network, contributing to achieving effective and efficient results for clients. The team receives instruction from both insurers and the insured firms, building their reputation amongst recognised professional leaders.
The role will predominantly focus on defending claims against professionals in the construction industry, and coverage disputes. You will also have the opportunity to work on a broader range of non-construction insurance related matters. With the expectation to manage your own caseload, you will routinely gain experience in mediations and litigation, as well as arbitration and adjudication. Having the opportunity to work alongside specialist partners with the support of surrounding expert Associates, you will quickly develop your skills and gain hands on experience across other offices and internationally.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have 1- 4 years' PQE with experience gained in professional indemnity work from a leading law firm in relation to the construction or insurance industry. Strong academics are key, as well as a commercially driven attitude. Client focus is also important, with the ability to work as part of a team effectively. Willingness to take part in marketing and business development is also very important. You will be expected to work additional hours when necessary, enthusiasm and passion for your work is essential.
