A Professional Regulatory Body based in London working to set, uphold and advance standards within a particular profession.

Your new role
Reporting to the Standards and Advisory Lead, the main objective of this position will be to provide written and telephone advice to members of the College and members of the public.

  • Provide advice on professional conduct issues specifically those arising from the Code of Professional Conduct; by telephone or email and in accordance with Service Standards.
  • Support the work of the Standards Committee and it's committees, which may include preparing agendas, arranging meetings, writing minutes and drafting papers.
  • Provide support to the Standards and Advice Team, including projects and working parties reporting to the Standards Committee.
  • Undertake other duties within the department and College, as requested by the Standards and Advisory Lead or the Head of Legal Services (Standards).

  • A legal qualification
  • Experience of professional conduct issues
  • Ability to understand complex problems and think through solutions or theories
  • A customer-focused approach, dealing with people in a compassionate, just and fair manner
  • Clear, concise, logical and practical approach to issues
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent writing and drafting skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team
