A long-established firm which has been serving both individuals and local businesses for over a century is looking for a strong Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join its office in Holmfirth. Our client is really looking for a skilled conveyancing fee earner to hit the ground running from day one - this opportunity can offer you good work/life balance and a lovely office location in the centre of the village of Holmfirth.

The Role:

  • You will be managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from day one, consisting of lots of local work, including work from local estate agents and developers.
  • You will be handling matters including sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold, remortgaging, transfers of equity, plot sales and more. You will also have the chance to work alongside a partner in the team, meaning you will have exposure to more complex files.
  • The well-resourced department have a traditional approach and so you will be have the chance to meet clients and regularly update them regarding the developments on their files. You are also able to work files through to completion.
  • You will also have the chance to assist in business development, meaning you will be networking with clients and winning new work.

The Candidate:

  • Our client's ideal candidate will be local to the area and therefore have a strong market knowledge
  • The successful Residential Conveyancing Solicitor should ideally have 3+ years PQE. Experience in plot sales would be useful for this role, however it is not essential.
  • A good team-spirit and friendly manner is key for this role as the firm is small with just two offices, so our client wants a like-minded individual who will fit in with the existing department.
