Litigation Lawyer. Elite City Firm. 12 month FTC. 1 - 2.5 PQE

We are working with an Elite City firm in their search for a commercial litigation lawyer to join their ranked team for a contract of 12 months in duration. The role is due to start as soon as possible and is likely to be well suited to top tier litigation lawyers with between 1 - 2.5 year's PQE.

The team is regularly instructed on significant complex corporate and commercial disputes. They advise major UK and global entities on their commercial and corporate disputes to include banks, private equity houses, investment funds, financial institutions, corporates, and multinational commercial businesses, as well as individuals. The majority of their cases involve a cross border element.

The team is very well positioned to advise on a wide range of commercial and corporate disputes to include claims arising from the acquisition or disposal of a business, shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, professional negligence disputes, banking and insolvency claims, and financial services disputes, to name a few.

Due to a notable increase in workload, the team are looking to hire one or two contractors for a 12 month period to assist the team. The successful candidate will be involved in an exciting, challenging, and diverse caseload and will be a crucial part of this ranked team. A broad commercial litigation background gained in top tier or leading international firms is essential.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa, for example)
• If qualified in another jurisdiction other than England & Wales, the successful candidate should possess relevant UK experience
• Ideally between 1 - 2.5 years' PQE in handling a broad range of commercial and corporate disputes
• Experience obtained from top tier or international firms
• A keen eye for detail
• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• A client-centric mindset
• The desire to join a prestigious, Elite City firm for a contract of 12 months
• The ability to start a new role at short notice
