Locum Childcare Paralegal – West Midlands– Remote Working– 3 months initially– up to £25 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are thrilled to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Paralegal to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This assignment will be fully remote working for an initial period of three months with the scope to possibly being ongoing thereafter. The client is ideally seeking a candidate on a full time basis, however candidates on a part time basis will also be considered. The ideal candidate would be a Paralegal or Legal Executive with experience within Local Government.
Duties may include:
Supporting Solicitors with the management of cases, including matters relating to the Public Law Act
Diarising and communicating key details and filing dates to the social work team and our solicitors diary
Sending orders for hospital and police disclosure to the relevant authorities and chasing up where required
Liaising with social workers for filing, sourcing and instructing counsel to cover hearings and/or undertake drafting where we require
Requesting funding approval for external advocacy services, prepared bundle updates and requests to legal administration for bundles in preparation for hearings
Requesting translation of documents where ordered
An attractive hourly rate of up to £25 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
