This award winning property disputes team with a national client base is looking for a key appointment of an experienced Property Litigation lawyer, who will work in direct support of the Partner on a challenging and highly varied caseload. This team is aiming to be the leading specialist Property Litigation team in the UK, and so they have ambition and also a well crafted strategic plan to that end.

They're open to networking in someone with the right skills, but it is important that you integrate into the team. and have regular touch points with colleagues most likely a couple of times a week especially for a Partner level candidate.

Clients include plcs, private HNW individuals, institutions (education and ecclesiastical sector clients) and also landed/agricultural clients, so a fascinating breadth of issues which will challenge a property litigation lawyer from whatever brand background. Versatility and technical confidence are essential, as the work will not be routine. This firm is central Leeds based but acting for regional and national clients including work coming from London.

Quality of expertise and client service is their leading edge in the market and they source work from a very substantial referral network, which is in contrast to most property litigation departments which typically feed off colleagues in an aligned real estate department.

The firm is supportive to all staff and aims to be managed ethically in order to allow everyone to enjoy market-leading financial rewards based on firm performance. Crucial therefore is to appoint the right people from a technical and personality perspective as they want to foster a collegiate culture which is competitive outwardly rather then internally.

Suitable candidates are not likely to have under 6yrsPQE as the technical expectations mean that you'll need to carry cases without close supervision. Appointments of 10yrsPQE and upwards are certainly possible, including Partner lateral hires. Partnership on arrival is available for the right individual. The firm has the work flowing already and does not need a following, though obviously such added value would be taken into account when making any senior appointment.
