Associate / Senior Associate | Contentious Probate

TSR Legal are proud to be partnering with a Legal 500 firm with a strong South West presence who now have a new opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate, 5 + PQE, to work in a dynamic and fast-growing Legacies team in Bristol, focusing on the firm’s contentious probate offering.

The team acts for a range of national household name charities and a nationwide private client base, so this is a great opportunity to work with a high calibre client base from the outset. In this role you can expect to work flexibly from home and in the office as needed to meet the changing needs of the clients and the wider business.

As a Senior Associate / Associate you will manage your own busy caseload from the start, taking responsibility for all aspects of contentious trust and probate work including will validity claims, 1975 Act claims, claims against executors and trustees in addition to trouble shooting restricted legacies and/or resolving misdescriptions and other construction issues.

In this varied role you will be encouraged to work with a mixed discipline team of over 25 people to include probate lawyers and specialists in legacy administration.

You’ll also benefit from being part of an established team, working alongside 5 other qualified lawyers who are specialist in contentious probate and trust matters, plus trainee and paralegal support.

With your level of experience, you will be supervising and supporting the development of junior fee earners in your current role and be positive and approachable in doing so.
