NQ IP Solicitor (Patent Litigation)

My client is a highly regarded multinational Intellectual Property law firm. This well-established firm is now seeking to add to its esteemed team of professionals with the appointment of an NQ IP Solicitor.

The focus of this role will be on patent litigation matters before the English courts, as well as coordinating cases across other jurisdictions.

This is a fast-paced role within a hugely important team of a prestigious and expanding firm.

You will have a varied number of responsibilities including analysing patents for infringement and validity. This role will focus on both life science and technology cases, with some exposure into FRAND matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysing patents for infringement and validity
• Conducting contentious matters such as drafting inter-party correspondence, working with experts
• Drafting reports
• Reporting to clients
• Interactions with Courts, EPO, UKIPO
• Legal and technical research
• Due diligence
• Supporting business and client development initiatives
• Training junior team members

Person Specification:

• Experience working on patent litigation
• Excellent academics. A STEM degree would be advantageous
• Experience: NQ
• Experience working within an IP team that focusses on patent matters
• Strong team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to demonstrate initiative and pro-activity
• Respects the cultural, social, and academic backgrounds of the firm
