Employment Solicitor, 3 month FTC (likely extension), 5+ PQE

An Elite London Law Firm are looking for an Employment Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE to join them for an initial contract of 3 months. Whilst the initial contract is for 3 months there is a chance for further extension. The role is to start ASAP and will assist in covering a period of absence within the team.

The team has an outstanding reputation in advising Respondents within the financial services, advertising, and sport sectors on a full range of employment matters to include contentious, advisory, and corporate/transactional support.

As well as corporate employers, the team often advise in relation to partnership and LLP issues. A significant proportion of the workload (circa 50%) is advisory focused, advising clients on complex and sensitive people issues as well as advising on restructurings and contractual matters. Transactional/corporate support represents up to 35% of the workload with the balance made up from employment litigation.

In terms of their client portfolio, a large proportion of clients sit within financial services - including large organisations, hedge funds and boutique private equity houses. Other notable sectors include sport and advertising.

The successful individual will be an integral part of this established employment team in advising employer clients on a range of HR issues in both a non-contentious and contentious setting, assisting with transactional/corporate support matters and drafting and negotiating bespoke contracts.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as New Zealand and Australia, for instance) with relevant UK experience
• 5+ years' PQE from a recognised employment practice, city or international firm
• A willingness to take on responsibility
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• An articulate and confident matter to deliver at a high standard
• A willingness and interest in working on a contract basis.

Due to the fact this role is to start ASAP, candidates are likely to be available immediately or at short notice.
