Family Solicior (With Legal Aid experience) / Care Solicitor
Location : Leeds city centre
Salary : DOE (circa £29K-£35K)

A high street firm with a network of well established offices around the Yorkshire region is looking for a Family Solicitor with Legal aid experience or Care solicitor to join their friendly and nurturing team in the city of Leeds. The purpose of this Family Solicitor role is to manage a full and varied caseload of publicly funded Child arrangements, care proceedings and domestic abuse cases. This Family Solicitor role is open to NQ solicitors as well as those with experience but ideally with paralegal experience managing a similar Family law caseload. 

Key tasks of a Family /Care Solicitor. 
  • Running a case load of client matters.
  • Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions, applying for legal aid where appropriate, and advocacy.
  • Drafting statements, applications and other court pleadings.
  • Dealing with new client enquiries.
  • Providing support to other fee earners in the family department.
