Are you a motivated and passionate qualified Lawyer looking for a new role with the UK’s largest Housing Association? We’re now recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer to join our Legal team based in London.

In a nutshell, your role will be to provide high quality proactive, solution focused legal advice and support in a diverse range of areas including procurement, commercial contracts, construction contracts, contract management, dispute resolution, commercial risks and governance to all internal clients.

Some of the other key duties will include:

  • Providing advice on legal issues arising from management of construction contracts including but not limited to construction disputes, referring any complex issues to the Principal Contracts Lawyer.
  • Advising on standard terms and conditions, NDAs, regulatory compliance, terminations and/or renewal of commercial contracts.
  • Providing legal support to other areas including advice on the current and future operational contracts, and public law including data protection.
  • Assisting in the development of and to implement processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective provision of services across Clarion and its Group partners.
  • Keeping abreast of the constitutional, legal and regulatory framework within which Housing Associations operate and to ensure that such knowledge is disseminated to encourage a knowledgeable and compliance focused culture.To be successful in this role we’ll require you to have significant experience as a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with good commercial and contract law experience.

You’ll be adept at analysing legal commercial problems and have strong negotiation skills. Experience of working in a housing association or public sector body would be advantageous but not essential.
