Our client is excited to be offering the opportunity for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to become a part of their rapidly growing Commercial team in their Exeter office. This role is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced Partner and the team with high-value clients in a supportive and ambitious environment.

Within this role, you will be advising a broad range of clients on general commercial contracts, IP and technology matters, data protection, drafting and negotiating agreements and related documentation. Ideally, you will have a particular interest and experience in data privacy related matters. In addition to this, you will work closely with our clients well-respected corporate team, assisting with commercial matters throughout M&A transactions. There will also be the responsibility for supervising and delegating work to junior lawyers, therefore it is essential that you work well as part of a team and can delegate effectively. The team will actively support and encourage the successful candidate with business development opportunities to help build the profile of the commercial team, as well as the objectives and goals of the firm.

In order to be considered for this role, our client is looking for an experienced lawyer with the desire to further enhance their skills and knowledge whilst working alongside high-quality clients in a well-respected team. You will have over 4 years' PQE, experience in a variety of commercial matters, as well as working independently with clients, and be able to offer pragmatic and commercially minded advice. Having the ability to build a good relationship with clients and colleagues is essential. The most important thing for our client is that the successful candidate is keen to develop their legal and commercial skillset, and to create opportunities to further enhance their profile and that of the firm.
