A leading UK law firm with offices located throughout the country, are looking for a Housing Management/Property Litigation paralegal for their Leeds office. Our client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and a good communicator, passionate about law and with a strong work ethic. The post-holder will be supporting both the Leeds and London office, so will need to communicate between the two offices effectively.
The role will be a mixture of home working and office working - however applicants must be flexible and prepared to work at least two days a week in the office, possible more when required.
The role will involve advising clients (registered Social Housing providers/private landlords) on a broad range of matters including (but not exclusively) anti-social behaviour, unauthorised occupiers and rent arrears. Specific duties include: drafting and preparing claim forms, preparing trial bundles, liaising with Court prior to trial, and assisting with general paralegal and administrative tasks in an effective and timely manner.
Candidates must possess excellent academics, including a good law degree, successful or near completion of the LPC, and excellent IT and organisational skills. Knowledge of Document Management Systems is preferable.
Relevant and significant experience in Housing Management and Property Litigation is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role dealing with registered providers/private landlords.
