Hybrid Working / £80,000-85,000 per annum / Permanent

We have a brilliant opportunity available for a Legal Counsel to join one of our clients based in Bristol who are looking to grow an in-house legal team.  This would be a great opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer who has experience working in-house and who is looking for that next move up to being Sole Legal Counsel!

You will be joining the UK subsidiary of a global organisation which specialises in aerospace and technology. The company is very well established both domestically and internationally & they already have a large international legal team however, this will be their first UK based legal appointment so the potential future opportunities for career development are excellent.

The role is offered ideally on a full-time basis and they currently operate with hybrid working with occasional office working required in their Bristol office.

The role:

- In this role you will be working closely alongside the management team, devising company strategy and assisting in the day-to-day matters.

- You will be providing support across the business covering a variety of legal issues and inquiries, these will include advising on commercial contracts, property law (analysing title documents and lease contracts etc.), human resources on matters including drafting and issuing of employee and consultancy contracts /settlement agreements and providing legal advice to company’s senior business management. 

- Additionally, you will be liaising closely with external counsel (including outside the U.K.) and with representatives of our subsidiaries in the U.K. and across the globe.

Requirements:

- You will be a lawyer 2-7 PQE gained at a respected law firm or in-house legal department.

- Multi-tasker with proven experience in varied legal fields to assist the company in its daily business, ideally commercial, labour and property law

- Proficient in IT applications like Adobe / Excel / Word / PowerPoint

- Excellent communication and interpersonal, skills including the ability to work in an international environment, and globally distributed colleagues

- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise and manage a varied workload

- Comfortable advising senior management and inputting on a strategic level

- Organised and diligent
