We are currently seeking an Italian Solicitor or Registered Foreign Lawyer to support our Private Client team in the London office. Applications are invited from ambitious Private Client Solicitors who are driven to build out their careers in a friendly and supportive modern law firm on an upwards trajectory.
The Italian Private Client Department has an existing caseload consisting of a full range of private client matters – Italian contentious and non-contentious probates, Wills, Powers of Attorney. You will also be advising on real estate sales and acquisitions in Italy, as well as tax / estate planning and non-dom schemes applications by international clients in Italy.
The firm has an ambitious expansion plan for the next five years and we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the private client team who can support and contribute to the firm’s growth.
The successful applicant will be supporting the lead partner in the private client's department and must possess a strong client service focus enabling you to interact well with both external clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
You must be fluent in written and spoken Italian and have an excellent command of the English language. We are seeking candidates with business-level English and ideally some previous experience in a similar role in other international law firms. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding and leading London team working on high quality matters involving varied and interesting work.
You will be expected to manage a busy workload, often managing multiple tasks as well as ensuring effective communication between yourself and the lead partner. You will be working on a wide range of tasks from translating, drafting legal documenting, advising on Italian law, and assisting with all cases undertaken by the lead partner. We look for an excellent academic record, coupled with evidence of good quality training and strong experience gained from a leading Italian practice. Experience working as an associate or experience operating at associate level is essential.
STEP membership is preferred but is not essential. The role is office based on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 09.30 to 18.00). The salary is dependent on experience.
