Head of Monitoring and Testing - Saudi Arabia

An exceptional opportunity has to join a diverse and multi-cultural leading entity in Saudi Arabia.

This is a key role within the Compliance and Ethics team for one of the largest programmes globally, who are looking for someone to come in and build their compliance and ethics monitoring and testing programme from scratch. The role will cover a multitude of different and varied business lines.

Some highlighted responsibilities:

• Creating an annual testing plan for compliance controls and processes and leading control testing exercises or leverages subject matter expertise to complete control testing exercises
• Leading and overseeing compliance risk assessments in key compliance risk areas such as financial crime (anti-bribery & corruption, fraud, sanctions, money laundering, modern slavery). Leverages subject matter expertise within the team or externally to ensure excellence in the delivery and output of the assessment work.
• Creating an annual testing plan for compliance controls and processes and leading control testing exercises or leverages subject matter expertise to complete control testing exercises
• Utilising corporate best practices while coordinating and undertaking an ethics and compliance program review

The ideal candidate with have:

• Experience of leading and building teams
• Demonstrated experience establishing and tracking key metrics or providing metrics for implementation
• A strong understanding of continuous improvement models and the importance of risk management and assessment activities as strategic enablers and drivers.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory risk and the operational requirements to maintain compliance through implementation of controls and activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills with the ability to facilitate and influence decisions by motivating others to achieve excellence in both the quality of work and their approach to teamwork.
• Familiarity with corporate compliance programmes
