Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Our client, a CQS and Lexcel accredited law firm based in Wolverhampton, is seeking a Legal Assistant to assist their residential conveyancing department.

This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable Legal Assistant to join a well-known firm, to build upon existing skills and learn from experienced Solicitors and Fee Earners.

This role would suit a candidate who has prior experience in carrying out legal assistant duties within a residential conveyancing department. You will be providing support to the firm’s Conveyancing Solicitors, handling client inquiries via phone and in person, preparing correspondence using case management systems and general administrative duties.

The role is office based and requires a five day working week with a one hour lunch break daily. The office is also very close to public transport links and the role itself offers an encouraging and sociable environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing
• A team player with good communication skills
• Able to assist the busy department on commencement of employment
• An approachable and motivated attitude

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus Christmas closure and pension.
