This Legal 500 heavy-hitter is seeking a Corporate Commercial Partner to head up its Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked department. You will gain access to the highest quality of work and manage a team of leading lawyers.

They are a full service commercial firm which has grown substantially in recent years. They deal with a quality of work on par with City firms and have attracted many heavy hitting Lawyers. Many City Partners who have joined have been really attracted by just the excellent quality of work.

This firm is highly ranked in the Legal 500 and is top tier across several areas; they have both an office in a very affluent part of Hertfordshire and an office in the heart of London's legal district. They have experienced substantial growth in recent years; interestingly this mainly comes from their International reach. Despite them having a headcount of just over 100, their International reach is growing quickly; they have a strong client base in Russia, China, and the Middle East. Their fee earners are not just technically strong but are exceptional business developers, and many of the Lawyers have very impressive client bases. You will find that they deal with a varied spread of customers, with emphasis on HNW individuals, OMB, SME's, and company Directors. The sector variety makes for an interesting role full of variety.

The Role

This is a stand out opportunity for a Corporate Commercial Partner to join this firms City of London office.

The Corporate Commercial department is ranked in the 1st tier in the Legal 500.

The team advises on technology and other commercial projects and negotiates the contracts that govern them, from IT outsourcing agreements, software development and deployment agreements to licensing arrangements. In addition, they have developed specialist expertise in bio-technology and notably the law applicable to gene therapies.

The clients are high quality and often international and you will work alongside other expert leaders in your field.

This role would suit a Corporate Commercial Partner looking to make a lateral move to a forward-thinking firm.

Requirements:

• You will be an experienced Corporate Commercial Partner 7+ years PQE (there is no upper limit in terms of PQE)
• You will either have a strong client base or be dedicated at building one
• To be a business person not just a lawyer
• In return, you will receive an excellent benefits package and salary is very negotiable dependent on experience/the individual, although it is thought it would be an above industry average figure.
