Job Details
We are working with a Top 100 UK law firm in recruiting for their Band 1 Regulatory team (specifically, professional discipline). The team has a need to hire a Barrister with upwards of 2 years' post call experience for a fixed term contract.
The team has the capacity to offer a contract for up to 18 months in duration, but should candidates ideally be looking for a shorter contract duration, this can be accommodated.
The firm acts for a significant healthcare regulator within the market and the successful barrister can expect to be involved in a pure advocacy-based role - preparing and presenting cases regarding a registrants Fitness to Practise.
Whilst experience in the regulatory and/or professional discipline sphere would be ideal, it is not essential, and candidates who can demonstrate experience with trails, dealing with expert evidence, witness handling and an interest in professional discipline will be considered. Excellent attention to detail is a must.
Previously successful candidates have presented an advocacy background relating to regulatory / professional discipline and/or criminal matters.
Candidates can expect to receive superb exposure and more support than would be received in chambers.
This contract represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful barrister to join a market leading team and to focus on a pure advocacy role but with the support that comes from a wider Private Practice setting.
