We provide a wide range of legal services to the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond, Sutton, Wandsworth and Royal Borough of Kingston, making us the largest local authority shared legal service in the country. We are based in South West London and in normal times, our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely - agile working has been business as usual for a long time in SLLP. SLLP is seeking to recruit a Senior Procurement lawyer and 2 Procurement Lawyers with proven track records in public sector procurement, either working in the public sector or in private practice with a public sector client base. These roles will be providing a service that covers a diverse work load dealing with complex and high profile matters including regeneration/construction, IT contracts and the creation of companies and shared services. The successful candidates will have excellent communication, drafting skills and the ability to provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and Members.
The Senior Procurement Lawyer post will have managerial responsibilities supervising up to 3 procurement lawyers and so previous experience of supervising staff is desirable but not essential.
