CRA are working in partnership with a leading national law firm, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join their highly successful team in Manchester.

The role

You will work alongside an existing team and support and assist senior members of the team with complex and high value cases, including (but not limited to) birth injuries and other cases where clients have suffered severe injuries. You will also run your own caseload of matters. To ensure that you succeed to the best ability, excellent supervision and support will be available at all times.

The Person

Ideally you will have:

  • Approximately 0-2 years PQE as a Solicitor (or equivalent) and ideally some previous experience of handling Clinical Negligence matters;
  • A sound technical expertise in this area of law and the related civil litigation process;
  • Experience of running your own caseload;
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions on cases autonomously, but also enjoy working as part of a team;
  • A commitment to delivering the highest quality of service and providing a high level of client care at all times, showing empathy when required as part of a professional yet personal approach;
  • The determination to gain the best outcome for your client;
  • The willingness to attend marketing and business development events when needed;
  • The confidence to use a range of IT packages and programmes;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in order to liaise with clients and third parties and progress the case; and
  • Excellent attention to detail and negotiation skills and the ability to prioritise.
