JOB TITLE: Risk & Compliance Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: NQ to 2 years’ PQE
LOCATION: Leeds
SALARY: Up to c£50,000 (£DOE)

THE ROLE:
This firm’s busy in-house team are looking for a confident Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join its successful team and work with lawyers and colleagues to help develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new legislation and regulatory requirements. The key duties of this role will include:
• Advising on various risk and compliance issues
• Responding to clients enquires regarding risk and compliance
• Liaising with regulatory bodies and other external parties
• Researching local law and regulatory requirements
• Reviewing and updating the firm’s policies in line with current legalisation
• Researching any legal or regulatory changes that may impact the firm and working with the senior In-House Counsel to implement changes to address them.

THE CANDIDATE:
The perfect candidate will be highly efficient, motivated and organised whilst being able to pay close attention to detail. You will have effective oral and written communication skills and will be able to communicate effectively at all levels including internal and external parties. You must have some previous experience working in a Risk & Compliance role and possess a strong commercial and financial awareness, and experience of budget ownership.
