Locum Childcare Paralegal – Home Counties– Remote Working– 3 months initially– up to £25 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are thrilled to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Paralegal to join a Local Authority in the Home Counties. This assignment will be fully remote working and is for an initial period of three months with the potential for extension thereafter. The client is ideally seeking a candidate on a full time basis, however candidates on a part time basis will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal assistant to build up experience within a supportive Local Authority.
The ideal candidate would be a Paralegal or Legal Executive with Childcare Law experience within the Public Sector.
Duties may include:
Assisting Solicitors caseload of highly complex matters involving NAI, issues of parental capacity and international features using DPS case management system
Diarising and communicating key details and filing dates to the social work team and our solicitors diary
Sending orders for hospital and police disclosure to the relevant authorities and chasing up where required
Liaising with social workers for filing, sourcing and instructing counsel to cover hearings and/or undertake drafting where we require
Requesting funding approval for external advocacy services, prepared bundle updates and requests to legal administration for bundles in preparation for hearings
An attractive hourly rate of up to £25 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
