Are you a successful Employment Lawyer who is keen to further your career and take on a new challenge? If so, please get in touch as CRA are currently instructed to recruit for a Head of Employment Law for a leading national law firm. This role is working for a firm who have won several national awards for the legal services that they provide and have also been highly ranked as a top firm to work at.
Based in Sheffield City Centre you will lead the department, advising existing clients of the firm on a wide range of Employment Law matters. The firm in question has an excellent existing portfolio of clients but you will also be willing to business develop to further enhance this portfolio.
This role would suit an ambitious Employment Lawyer with approximately 10 years upwards PQE who is looking to lead a team and take on a Head of Department role. This is however just a guide, with other PQE levels and experience also being considered.
You will have an excellent working knowledge of this field of law and have a good degree of previous experience advising clients on a wide range of Employment cases. You will ideally have previously advised both Employees as well as Employers and have managed a varied caseload (including but not limited to) employment contracts and handbooks, settlement agreements, discrimination claims, tribunal claims and other advocacy/hearings.
You will possess the associated skill set and therefore be highly confident and accurate at drafting all relevant legal documentation for your clients. You will also have excellent client care skills, be an organised candidate and have strong advocacy skills.
You will be a keen business developer who is happy to work with intermediaries to progress matters on behalf of your client, as well as building business relationships with these professionals in order to secure additional work into the firm. Candidates with a following are also of particular interest, although this is not essential.
You will display excellent commercial awareness skills and be able to lead the team, setting a successful business development plan that can be achieved in order to move the team forward to the next level.
