In House Commercial Paralegal Job - Oxford/Remote


Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial Paralegal to move into an in-house role. You will report directly to the Senior Legal Counsel, providing legal support to my client as they continue to grow. Within this role, you can work mostly remotely with occasional travel to one of our clients offices in either Oxford or London; most of the team are based near their Oxford office therefore any candidates living within a commutable distance of this area are encouraged to apply, however candidates do not have to be located near this area, so long as they are happy to travel.

Your new role
You will oversee the handling of contractual documents (ranging from NDAs, commercial contracts, amendments to master services agreements, and so on), and will have the first engagement with stakeholders to ensure that there is sufficient information regarding key clauses for each document before raising to the Senior Legal Counsel, through to managing the counter-execution of documents. You will undertake legal research and contract management and legal administrative requirements. You will take responsibility for managing the document database, manage regular reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel and work with them to design legal training and deliver presentations to the business. You will also assist the Senior Legal Counsel with compliance obligations, such as policy review, GDPR queries and other tasks as directed.

What you need to succeed
You will have previously worked in a law firm or in-house within a commercial setting, have experience within commercial contracts, and will preferably have obtained a law degree. A good understanding of commercial contracts; typical structures and standard terms, and previous experience advising on simple contract queries and managing databases or internal registers would be desirable. You may also have undertaken the LPC or CILEx studies. You will be collaborative, a good communicator and enjoy working with and managing multiple stakeholders, with excellent attention to detail. Candidates who are multi-lingual (in particular Italian, French, German or Dutch language skills) are highly desirable, but this is not an essential skill.
