AML Analyst - Qatar

A Global Law firm is looking for an experienced financial crime Analyst to support their AML Operations Manager and the Global Head of AML in ensuring risk controls are operating in each jurisdiction in which the firm operates, and to ensure there's compliance with its regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Opening matters of varying complexities, CDD, and basic sanctions issues; to be completed with little supervision
• Liaising with Middle East offices on AML related matters
• Independently completing processes from AML reviews to Final Risk Reviews, and escalating as necessary
• Advising on AML, ABC and compliance obligations and standards
• Assisting with internal auditing
• With supervision from the senior AML team, assist with regulatory audits

Skills:

• A relevant degree and or an International Compliance Associate Diploma in AML or Compliance
• Relevant experience in a law firm or a professional services environment
• An ability to research effectively using all relevant sources
• A good knowledge of compliance rules and regulations
• Able to present clear and accurate findings, drawing succinct conclusions based on internal precedents
• Able to write in plain English
• Can use client management software
• Understand client billing processes
• PC literate
• Able to demonstrate excellent administration
