Your new company
A unitary Local Authority in Greater London is seeking a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join their team on a temporary basis, initially for 3 months but likely to be extended.

Your new role
As a Housing Litigation Lawyer in a Local Authority you will be taking instructions from client officers. Providing clear, practical and correct advice in writing and orally. Furthermore, you will be advising on evidence and case planning. You will be drafting applications/claims, pleadings, witness statements and other relevant legal documents. Complying with court directions, preparing for court, instructing counsel and advising client throughout. Maintaining good relationship with client officers and promoting reputation of the legal service.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered you will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Cilex legal professional. You will have experience of providing advice on housing management law and housing litigation, in particular possession on grounds of unauthorised occupation and tenant behaviour.

What you'll get in return
You will receive flexible working option whilst gaining exposure to housing litigation law. You will be supported through your assignment and have opportunities within the Council to learn new areas of law within the housing team.
