Our client are known for their forward thinking approach, with their technology being used in more that 100 countries. Due to expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their expanding in house team, as a Director in their Commercial department. This presents as a rare opportunity for a lead energetic and business savvy senior commercial solicitor.

Your new role
You will develop and maintain forms and negotiation guides and support the business on commercial contract matters globally (excluding APAC) including sales and suppliers, technology licensing and regulatory compliance issues related thereto as well as the provision of general legal advice. You will assist with commercial training and project administration and be the lead business person in maintaining content in the contract management system. You will also manage a junior lawyer longer term.

Within this job, you will be the ''go-to'' person on commercial and supplier contracts issues, providing expert advice on structuring, drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers, partners and customers. Other responsibilities include:

• Review contractual issues and prepare responses to requests for proposals, bids, supplier and customer contracts, collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements
• Analyse and negotiate contract requirements, special provisions and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with corporate business strategy, policies and commercial procedures
• Advise and support leadership and operations teams alongside General Counsel with commercial real estate agreements

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate must be a qualified lawyer, with extensive experience of relevant business and contracts related experience, ideally with previous life sciences or technology experience. Having strong negotiation and analytical skills, along with the ability to influence and work well in a team is also vital to this role. You will require minimal management and have excellent attention to detail and informed judgement. Experience working in house is not crucial but is desirable and a second European language is also desirable (but not necessary for the role).
