Head of Regulatory & Risk

Our award-winning client is looking for a Head of Regulatory and Risk Solicitor to join their highly respected team in Leeds.

This is a new role and will require someone of a level who can make considerable strategic input, reporting directly into the Managing Partner and the Board. They are looking for someone who can define and further develop their risk strategy and fully expect this person to recruit others to build the team, they will be in your hands!

The successful candidate would be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice to the firm's management board and senior team on risk and ensuring that the firms business operations are compliant with all regulatory requirements. You would advise partners and colleagues day to day, ensuring risk matters are reviewed regularly and annually and a firm-wide compliance training programmes is adopted and followed in addition to recruiting, training, developing, managing, and supervising the individuals in the Risk and Compliance team.

Our client is looking for someone who has the credibility and strong technical knowledge of The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017 and knowledge of Part 7 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. They want someone who can be proactive and can really help facilitate the smooth running of this team.
