Our client a highly successful law firm based in the heart of Chelmsford . Have enjoyed continued growth throughout 2021 are currently recruiting for an experience Commercial property solicitor to join their Commercial property team.

The prime role of Fee Earner is to advise and assist clients, in pursuit of their best interests by taking responsibility for the conduct of commercial property cases on behalf of clients .To assist other members of the firm on subjects of expertise. This is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor who is looking to move into a head of department role.

The Role

• Drafting and approval of documents e.g. leases, contracts and ancillary
• Acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial property and development sites.
• Leasehold property management work (e.g. licenses)
• Granting and disposal of commercial leases.
• Dealing with financial arrangements related to property acquisitions on behalf of buyer / lender.
• Dealing with commercial lending
• Consortium and Co-operation agreements between landowners
• To create and manage correspondence and document files for each individual client matter according to the standards laid down by the firm and other governing bodies
• Supervise secretarial and other support staff assigned to carry out support tasks in the Team
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and with other professional contacts
• Keep abreast of developments in the law in related subjects as necessary, taking responsibility for self-development and ensuring CPD is observed
• To co-operate with other team members and other members of the firm and the legal community as a whole to further the maintenance of high quality professional service for clients and the community
• To ensure firm’s procedures are followed when recording time and managing the billing process
• Promotion and marketing of team

The Candidate

• Minimum 4yrs PQE Commercial Property experience there is no upper limit
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
• Able to impart key information in a manner which is easily understood
• You will be Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
• A Proactive thinker, you be able to promote the Firm by marketing and building relationships with other professionals
