A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join an excellent disputes team based in Leeds City Centre. Our client is a strong mid-tier practice with numerous offices around the Yorkshire region. They are well established within both the local and regional markets and are recognised not only as being a great place to work but also for the quality of their work. They have developed an outstanding reputation both for the work that they do and the investments they make in their staff members.

Joining an established commercial litigation team you will be working on a broad range of high value and high profile litigation work including shareholder & contractual disputes, negligence etc. Working alongside a chambers listed partner you will run your own caseload of smaller files as well as assisting on the more complex matters and helping to grow and develop the department.

The team act on behalf of some quality medium sizes businesses and get a lot of referrals through from top tier firms. There will also be the opportunity to gain experience within Insolvency and Corporate Recovery. The firm is very much a meritocracy and there will be plenty of scope for you to input ideas into both the team and the wider firm.

They are really looking for someone who is outgoing and keen to get involved with business development and networking, this is something that their junior lawyers get very involved in and it really helps them in developing these invaluable skills right from the start of their career. Ideally you will have a practical approach and not be afraid of taking on areas of litigation they may well not have come across in the past, although you would of course be supported in this.

This role is great for personal development as you will be able to learn and be closely mentored by experienced solicitors making it ideal for someone starting out in their Litigation career at either newly or a junior level.

The successful candidate should ideally be relatively junior and they are happy to look at lawyers who are c 2 - 5 years' PQE, with a broad range of commercial litigation experience. Our client would also be happy to consider applications from candidates who fall outside of this bracket, but can demonstrate the relevant skillset and passion necessary for the role.
