Having recently floated after a staggering ascension, my client - a major international player in the in the field of sensing technology which enables the real-rime, high performance accessible and scalable analysis of DNA and RNA - requires a commercial lawyer to complement their global legal team.
Initially reporting to the SVP and GC, you'll be the main point of contact for consumer contracts and procurement and as such you're likely to have at least a couple of years contracts and general commercial experience. Language skills, especially in Italian or German would be especially welcome, as would experience in the pharma or life sciences sector, however this is not essential.
Day to day you'll be an integral and influential part of the commercial and supplier supply chain, providing independent judgement and analysis of contracts, including the identification of legal and business related issues and their resolution. You'll advise, educate and help empower management professionals on structure, drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers, partner and customers.
It's a hands-on role within an exciting sector and hugely ambitious organisation which puts employee welfare at the heart of their business. The role is based in Oxford, but hybrid or remote working is on offer, though some office presence will no doubt assist with the ongoing desire to be seen as more than just lawyers to the business.
Salary is likely to be up to £100k + bonus and LTIPs. For a confidential discussion please contact Steve.email@example.com or call his DL - 0113 467 9789.
