A Leeds office of a national law firm has a requirement for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join a busy team working for private and public sector clients. The role has genuine partnership prospects.

The Role
The Commercial Lawyer role includes procurement, innovation and medical technology, drafting and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, including advice on contractual and performance management, commercialisation, income generation and intellectual property rights, IT contracts for hardware, software and systems, collaboration and joint ventures, NHS and local authority partnership agreements and Integrated Care Systems, financing health start-ups, statutory mergers and acquisitions and PFI work. The work is often high profile and represents some of the leading edge work in the NHS.
The role will involve responsibility for your own caseload as well as working closely with the partners and solicitors of the commercial teams on business development opportunities.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded solicitor who can work very closely with clients, provide first class practical advice and who is technically proficient in drafting and advising on a range of contractual agreements, including service contracts, joint venture arrangement, contracts for the supply of goods and services and IT / software related contractual arrangements . Prior public sector work will be an advantage but is not essential.
