We are currently looking to attract a qualified solicitor to join our casualty team in our Manchester office.

Our team specialise in investigating and defending casualty claims that arise in particular sectors such as construction, retail & leisure, manufacturing, transport & logistics and the public sector. The Casualty team have over 400 lawyers that act for global and specialist insurers such as Lloyds and London Market underwriters, brokers, FTSE-100, FTSE-250 and multinational corporations, local authorities and charities.

The role will be focused around handling fast track and multi-track cases arising from high value motor claims and a mixture of employers liability and product liability.  The opportunity can involve duties such as obtaining witness statements, drafting pleadings, attending court, instructing experts and resolving issues, as well as providing an exceptional level of service to our clients.

We are interested in qualified solicitors that are looking for an opportunity to manage a fast paced and complex caseload alongside assisting our equity partner with their high value multi-track matters. A similar background in a defendant law firm would be ideal, with a high standard of verbal and numerical reasoning and the ability to analyse, evaluate and communication information logically is key – together with proficient IT skills. Previous experience within personal injury claims would be ideal however we are keen to also consider candidates that have a good background in assisting on cases and who are keen to build up to handling their own caseload.
