Job Details
Our client is offering the opportunity for an Associate to join their growing Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team in Bristol. Within this role, you will be working with major clients in the banking sector.
The team handle a caseload of banking and mortgage litigation cases including defended and sensitive reputational cases, breach of contract/mandate, breach of duty and fraud. You will run a varied litigation caseload and assist senior associates, legal directors and partners on larger cases and class actions, providing competent strategic and commercial legal advice upon a range of contentious disputes and claims with supervision. There will also be the expectation for you to actively involve yourself in business development activities with clients and potential clients, as well as contributing directly to the financial performance of the team.
To be considered for this role, you will have 1-2 years' PQE with experience gained at a leading law firm. Our client is also open to considering newly qualified solicitors. Financial services sector experience is ideal, however excellent all round commercial litigation experience is also welcomed. Having a good working knowledge of court procedure and the CPR is essential, as well as excellent communication and self-management skills. You will be expected to exhibit technical excellence with contentious commercial matters with a strong ability to establish excellent relationships with clients, provide exceptional client service and a drive for business development.
