Following recent growth, our client is looking for an Associate to join their Commercial team in Bristol. The role provides exposure to a broad and varied range of commercial work across the public sector on a national basis.
Within this role, you will work with notable clients and become a sector specialist, receiving bespoke training throughout your career ensuring you have the commercial and technical skills necessary in order to build an effective and successful practice.
Your key responsibilities will consist of working with and supporting clients such as central government departments, local authorities, policing bodies and police forces, housing associations and non-departmental public bodies/charities. You will advise on contracts including complex contract drafting for IT and other types of contracts, corporate and commercial law, procurement law and practice, as well as Public Sector Governance.
In order to be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have between 2-8 years' PQE with relevant experience gained within a private practice, public sector, or in-house. Previous experience of working on contract, commercial and procurement matters is preferable, as well as exhibiting excellent drafting, legal analysis skills and working well as part of a team with effective communication.
