The Role:  

We are looking for a 12-month maternity cover in an international non-discretionary firm advising on alternative assets is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their busy team in London.

This will be a broad in-house Legal Counsel role where you will interact across the business from negotiating contracts to working with support teams to push the corporate agenda of the firm.

In this role you will report to the Head of UK / EMEA Legal as part of a small team, and also work with the wider international legal team (offices in the US, Asia and Europe).

Requirements: 

  • Circa 4-6 years PQE.
  • Practical experience drafting a range of commercial documents (NDAs, service agreements, supplier agreements, responses to requests for proposals).
  • A good grasp of the financial regulatory landscape in the UK and the EU and experience working in the financial services sector is desirable.
  • A solutions-focussed professional able to handle multiple matters across various disciplines.
  • Practical experience of data protection legislation and/or intellectual property laws is desirable.
  • Ability to work well with other teams, including Finance, HR, IT and Communications to support their business objectives.
  • Excellent organizational/time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
