Barker Gooch and Swailes are looking for a Wills Probate and Private Client practitioner.

We are located on the Green in Winchmore Hill from where we have offered a range of legal services for over 50 years. We have a well-established client base both locally and in the surrounding areas. We offer a personal service to our clients.

We have a considerable Wills, Probate and Trust case load and are looking for a practitioner with some experience to deal with Wills, Probate, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and related work which could include conveyancing. This work is currently primarily carried out by one of the partners and a senior assistant solicitor both of whom have many years’ experience. We are looking to add to this team. Most of our work comes from existing clients and recommendations. We hold a large number of wills  in some of which we are named as executors and from which some of our work in this field is generated.

The successful applicant will be numerate and ideally able to a large extent to conduct matters from start to finish, including the preparation of estate accounts. We are a small and friendly firm and practitioners are encouraged to consult and discuss with their colleagues.

We are prepared to consider applicants to work full time, part time or on a consultancy basis.
