Your new company
An international media and content production/distribution company focused on scripted content, with offices in a various global locations. The business has gone from strength to strength as the subsidiary of a larger media group, working with some huge names in the industry. The business is ambitious and is continuing its exciting international expansion.

Your new role
A senior level Legal Counsel / Business Affairs role, reporting into the Head of Legal in California. Working with the UK MD and senior stakeholders across the business, the successful candidate will draft, negotiate and review a host of commercial and media agreements in relation to scripted media content production/distribution. These will include script, options, development, writer format, content licensing and cast agreements. You will support the business in advising on commercial risk, while ensuring you manage your time when completing multiple simultaneous transactions.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Media Lawyer or Business Affairs Executive with at least five years' relevant experience in scripted content matters, involving both production and distribution. You will have relevant contracts experience and you will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge as to the typical challenges a business faces in this industry. The hiring manager will be happy to speak to relevant applicants from both in-house and private practice backgrounds.
