In-House Legal Counsel

The Client

A leading global technology company is seeking to build out their legal team with a Legal Counsel hire. This is an integral roles within the organisation and will assist in providing legal advice across a wide variety of commercial issues and transactions, varying greatly in nature, complexity and value. You will be reporting to the Head of Legal.

The Candidate

You will need to have at least 2 years' PQE* and experience of working on a broad range of commercial matters, including contracts, disputes, marketing and real estate matters. A can-do attitude and strong people, communication and negotiation skills will be viewed as critical.

The Role

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on general commercial contracts including supply, procurement and distribution agreements
• Antitrust, including SDAs
• Compliance and related administration (including delivering training and compliance updates with use of the internal compliance portal)
• Privacy Manager role - Data Protection (including EU and UK GDPR, PECR and e-privacy, dealing with data subjects requests, record keeping as required and negotiating and concluding data processing agreements)
• Intellectual property
• Marketing and advertising (including general ads, promotions and influencer activity)
• Consumer law (for consumer facing terms such as warranties, consumer queries, b2c sales)
• Commercial disputes and litigation
• Property matters
