Contentious Probate Solicitor (NQ-5 PQE)

A dynamic, Legal-500 listed commercial practice is looking for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join their growing team. The firm is well known across the North West for providing its lawyers with top-quality work, a fantastic corporate culture and a healthy work-life balance.

Contentious Probate Solicitor - South Manchester 

The company & role 

• One of the largest and most well-respected independent legal practices in the North West 
• An experienced and approachable Contentious Trusts and Probate team ranked in Tier 1 in the latest edition of the Legal 500  
• You will advise clients on all types of probate litigation, draft Larke-v-Nugus letters and interrogate and interpret responses, act for claimants and defendants on IPFDA claims and validity challenges, apply for medical records and assist with matters arising from the firm’s Private team, such as Estates that become contested 
• Based in a popular South Manchester market town with convenient public transport links nearby. 
• Commutable from Manchester, Warrington, Wilmslow, Altrincham, Stockport, Macclesfield, Tameside, High Peak

The ideal candidate 

• A Contentious Probate Solicitor with 2-4 years’ PQE  
• Someone with excellent client care and matter management skills 
• Will have strong communication skills and very good attention to detail 
• May be ACTAPS qualified, although this isn’t essential 
• May have knowledge of Court of Protection work 
• An ambitious individual with have a good academic background and training who is looking to develop their career
