Job Details
Rare opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to move In-house, working for a plc which has a tangible and genuine collection of values, geared equally towards employee welfare and customer satisfaction.
Working within the Group Legal & Compliance team and reporting to Group Senior Legal Counsel - Employment, you will need to be a client facing, personable and practical adviser for this highly valued role where your communication skills are key. You will also need strong drafting and negotiation skills with a well-honed ability to persuade both clients and opponents and aptitude to view your role as a true business partner, giving reasoned opinions on strategy and approach, not just a list of options!
This is not a behind the desk role and day to day responsibilities include working closely with the ER function on day-to-day matters and delivery of timely, specialist legal advice on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including contracts, disciplinary and grievance, absence, family leave, redundancy and restructuring, discrimination, whistleblowing.
