In-House Litigator (Solicitor/Legal Exec) - York / Hybrid

My client is an internationally renowned and diversified insurance group. There is now an opening for a litigator with experience of dealing with high value and complex claimant matters to join a market leading team in my client's York office.

This is a high-level role in which candidates should have good litigation experience in one or more of the following areas:

• general commercial/civil litigation
• property damage
• property/real estate litigation including landlord and tenant disputes (particularly preferable)
• construction litigation
• professional negligence
• insurance litigation (particularly preferable)
  

THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING / THE VAST MAJORITY OF THEIR EXPERIENCE IS WITHIN THE PERSONAL INJURY SECTOR.

As part of a highly collegiate team, you will work directly with senior management team across the group to support business critical projects. You will be directly involved in and will be responsible for managing cases which are both complex and high in value. As well as dealing with matters in-house, you will also have the opportunity to engage with and be assisted by external solicitors on my client's panel. A good technical and commercial focus is key for succeeding in this role as well as the ability to provide outstanding service to my client's customers.

As this role requires communicating with various parties, the successful candidate will need to be someone capable of handling a number of relationships which are key to my client's success, more specifically with Loss Adjusters, Brokers and other experts.
