Paralegal - private wealth & succession

My client is one of the leading law firms in the Yorkshire area. They have been operating for over 20 years and in that time, they have built a team of exceptional people as well as a stellar reputation. They operate in several sectors including commercial, construction, employment as well as private wealth and succession, their teams are experts in their respective fields.

My client has worked hard to create a collaborative and supportive workplace for their employees to thrive. As well as working with their wide range of clients they also work closely with a variety of other local organisations and charities too to offer pro bono support, work experience and donations .

Their private wealth and succession team is continuing to grow, and they are now looking to recruit a paralegal to work in their Huddersfield office. The team deal with an interesting variety of work - as well as advising clients on matters such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and they are regularly involved in work around trusts and corporate structures in the private wealth context, taking a friendly and proactive approach to whatever services the client requires.

This is a supportive role within the team, where you will provide an administrative and practical 'hands-on' service in a range of private wealth areas. Your role will involve opening and closing client files, ensuring records are up to date and that all necessary compliance and money laundering requirements have been followed. You will prepare client invoices in conjunction with Cashiers and lawyers, as well as drafting documents, where appropriate.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have previous experience as a paralegal ideally gained within the private wealth & succession department. Paralegals with any experience but keen interest in private wealth & succession would also be considered. You need to be able to manage complex workloads, be able to work methodically and have excellent organisation skills. You will have to use your initiative, be proactive but also enjoy working as part of team to deliver an excellent service to our clients.
