We are working with a Legal Tech platform which connects senior lawyers to SMEs who need legal advice, but perhaps don't have the scale to go to a regular traditional law firm. Many are in "start-up" or even "pre-start-up" mode; and need high quality legal advice to ensure their business is set up optimally and their rights, revenues, and ability to grow protected.

The company's lawyers and clients connect through a bespoke AI platform, and after an initial introductory call a fixed price is agree for work going forward. The business partners with a number of large companies with substantial SME client bases across a range of industry sectors including financial services, insurance, and banking, to offer legal services to their SME clients.

Since its inception the business has been very successful, providing legal services to SME businesses through independently contracted lawyers. They've now reached a size and maturity which demands the certainty of a permanent employee population to deliver services to existing and new clients. This is an unusual and very attractive opportunity for seasoned corporate/commercial lawyers with a wide range of experience to take on a permanent position for a market-leading legal services provider.

Our client is currently looking for four new permanent hires, two at a senior level (most likely at least 10-15 years' PQE) and two more junior (probably 5+ PQE).

These roles are entirely remote/home-based. You can work for the company's clients wherever and whenever you choose (subject to individual clients' requirements and the needs of the wider business). You may be remote, but you won't be working alone; the business engages a substantial (and growing!) bank of independent legal contractors, and maintains an active online (or in person, if it suits) network of fellow lawyers, along with a strong lawyer and client care infrastructure. There will be opportunities for you to augment your base salary by introducing new clients (or providing exceptional service to existing ones).

To be successful in your application for a position in this exciting business, you will have:

• Qualified as a solicitor in either England & Wales or Scotland;
• Gained experience either in private practice or in-house, or a combination;
• Either 5+ or 10+ years' post-qualification experience in a broad range of corporate commercial legal work (likely to include shareholders/investor agreements, joint ventures, commercial contracts of all types etc). There would also be interest in candidates with soft IP and/or data protection experience, and some experience of small ticket dispute resolution work would be useful;
• The ability to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels, and to explain legal concepts in plain English to non-lawyers would be highly regarded.
