Are you a Lawyer with good contract and commercial law experience? Can you manage your own workload with minimum supervision, working at a fast pace? Are you committed to, and energised by, making a positive and valued contribution to the charity sector? Do you have an interest in working for an innovative charity? If so, this could be the role for you.

About the role

You will work closely with teams across the charity, in particular our innovation, cancer services and technology directorates, advising on a wide range of contracts and legal issues at a senior level. In particular you will focus on innovative commercial partnerships and projects for cancer provision, and be adept at handling data protection and intellectual property issues in contracts.

About you

You are an English & Welsh qualified solicitor or barrister with good post-qualification experience, and good contract, commercial and related data protection experience. You will be able to hit the ground running, and be adept at working autonomously and managing your own workload with minimum supervision. You will also be able to offer practical, commercially sound advice, potentially outside your field of knowledge or expertise. A background working in-house, or in the charity or healthcare sector, is desirable although not essential.

About Us
We help millions of people with cancer across the UK live life as fully as they can through physical, emotional and financial support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. Together, we do whatever it takes for people living with cancer; with heart, with strength and with ambition.

We commit to actively developing you and our benefits include private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, generous leave, interest free loans for season tickets and gym memberships and much more.

We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support, and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.

We want every individual to feel empowered to bring their best to work, and that’s why we offer flexibility in our working locations, working hours and benefits so we can support you in your life and your career, and we welcome a conversation about how these options can best support you.

We offer a range of flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, e.g. 34.5 hours in 4 days instead of 5, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm and more options.

Our main office is based in London, with hybrid home-working options.
