We are working with an ABS who are looking to develop their presence in Leeds. They already have a strong base of exceptionally high quality lawyers in other cities and are looking to develop their presence within Leeds City Centre, capitalising upon the countless contacts that they already have within the city.

Their lawyers are typically from the larger commercial firms across the North of England and this role would certainly suit someone with that background as the ability to work with high quality, fast paced clients and deliver both technically and commercially is critical.

Whilst working within a smaller boutique environment you will have the support and sophistication often only found in the larger firms. Due to the nature of the business you will also have a unique route to the work, most of which you will find London and larger nationals on the other side of. Whilst there is no doubt that this role is to assist in their establishment in Leeds they have a different proposition and route to market which makes them incredibly attractive. There's no need for the hard sell with them, it's about delivering quality to clients who are already warm to the business and iif you can do that the work will be there!

They are fast paced and that also means that you can develop your career quickly, much faster than in many of the traditional firms within the region. Unusually they don't have individual billing targets, this encourages the team spirit and enables them to genuinely focus on the client relationships and delivery of the best service possible. You will have a lot of client contact so the role wouldn't suit someone wanting to take a back seat. They are also highly flexible, whilst most firms are these days they had hybrid working before the pandemic and it is embedded within their culture.

One of the key differences that those who have been within typical practices observe is that the business is really open and receptive, they get everyone involved in strategy, people are encouraged to contribute to this and at the very least understand where the firm is heading. They also work with those from other professions more closely, often meaning that you get involved in the heart of the transaction.

They reward well, they don't promise that it will always be easy as the work is high quality and can be challenging but with the scope for career progression and reward scheme that they have in place people can do very well within this business, both factors have led to great staff retention and consistent growth.
